    
2011 UpdateSOCKS FOR SOLDIERS and our TROOPS want to thank the people of the Texas Panhandle for your support. Since February 2005, you have enabled us to send “care packs” of white socks, travel size toiletries & snack foods more than 773 groups of men and women serving in our Armed Forces in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Where else but the Texas Panhandle would people open their hearts and “pocket books” to say, WE CARE ABOUT YOU AND ARE PRAYING FOR YOUR SAFE RETURN. Recently we received e-mails from Lubbock, California, Florida and Alabama asking how they could help because they can’t find a group like us in their area.
Last month we received a request from a SSgt. in Afghanistan asking if we can send “care packs” to his 200 troops during the holiday season. He said, “The spirits of the troops drop during the Christmas season.” YES!!! It’s our privilege to reach as many troops as possible.
